Green Art

Beauty is a part of destruction.
Here beauty and destruction have been created together
Destruction is the incipient of growth.
My plants find themselves in ruin and recreate.
When there is the green, there is possibility and hope.
My plants discover life in a dark spot, in the dark chip of the dish where there is no hope for life.

“How many steps to reach you”
With online performance-painting (Iran: Leila Fallah, Italy: Meaghan Sweeney)
Meaghan Sweeney
Meaghan Sweeney exhibits her work internationally, most recently in Body Archives 4 at Museo di Storia Naturale and Reactions to Divine Beauty at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Italy. The artist employs a large scale of techniques and mediums within her work, showcasing a variety of styles and formats in which she chooses to present social, cultural and philosophical theories as they relate to modern life and the information era.
Photography, video, audio, and installation unite themselves with more classically known mediums as painting, etching, and drawing. Feeling an integral urge to participate in the contemplation and understanding of the current era through sociology and psychology, the thoughts behind these creations seek to question personal identity as well as matters of contemporary culture through themes of memory.
Sweeney trained in Studio Art at Hamline University, earning her BFA degree in 2012. Currently residing in Florence, Italy, the artist is finalizing her MFA degree through Studio Arts Colleges International

RITE OF PASSAGE

Man has been alwaysand voraciously concerned about death.
Thoughtsof death has made him fullofworriesand concerns; and immortality has always been his mostsensationalpassion.
Byhispresence inanotherform,in another aspector even becoming something else, man has tried tosavehimself fromdeathand reach eternity. The Transition Towards Immortalityis the idea of my exhibition.

About these Artwork :
This is an honor for me;

Curling light rises,
Humming sound vibrates,
Untouchable hands touch,
Invisible forms meet.
Human species is animal,
Every animal an endangered species.
Living under water,
Earth bound, trees surround, ladder found.
